Soul Shifters: Re Awakening

Flashbacks and Warnings

Morning comes to Southdale on Monday morning and the Clarks are already woke up and getting ready for school, except one.

Marc noticed that his little brother is still in bed sleeping, ignoring the alarm clock's noise that Marc set up last night.

"Come on, Tony! If you’re late for school again, you'll get a very bad detention or worse, Mom will ground you big time," Marc said to his
snoring brother.

Not wanting that to happen, Tony quickly woke up. "Hey, if I wasn't grounded from that last mission, we could never become Sebastian's goons in the first place," Tony said as he got up from his bed.

"Hey, don't blame me. If you do better at school, none of that would happen," Marc said to his tired brother.

"Come on! I'm not perfect! Besides, I'm bad at Math!" Tony said to his brother.

"Well, there's an exam tomorrow and if you don't want to end up like the last mission, I suggest you better study for it," Marc said as he finished dressing up for school.

"Tomorrow’s the exam?! Oh no! I forgot to study last night!" Tony panickly shouted as he quickly tried to find his textbooks. "Mom's gonna flipped when I flunk Math again!"

"Well,you better study on your own," Marc said with a grin on his face. "Cause I've got the meeting in the Computer Club to go to!" He then left the bedroom, leaving Tony alone in his pajamas.

"Well then, I don't need your help, smarty-pants! Cause I got something that will help me pass the exam," Tony said as he opened up his bag and took out what it appears to be a necklace.

The necklace only had a black crescent-shaped moon and round gem in the middle. Tony stared at the necklace; his eyes are fixed at the sparkling gem like he's in a trance.

He has no clue what the kind of necklace this is. But somehow, he felt that he was connected to the necklace, even the time when he bought it.

After the successful spy mission, the Clarks decided to split up to take a break after that.

When Tony skates down the sidewalk with his skateboard, he suddenly stopped as he saw a strange shop in front of him. Curious, he decided to take a peek inside the shop.

As he entered the shop, he saw not only some oddities for sale, but weapons such as swords and axes are for sale, too.

He ignored the weapons section and looked around at the oddities. When he strolled around the ritual section, he then saw something at the shelf.

It was a necklace that has a sparkling black string, a black crescent-shaped moon pendant, and a black gem at the middle of the pendant.

He then took the necklace from the shelf and stared at the necklace without a word.

He then felt he somehow connected to this necklace, like it's trying to communicate with him.

"Excuse me, sir. But I see your interested at that necklace," Tony quickly snapped out of his trance as he turned around to see an elderly man who is somehow owned this shop.

"Um, kinda. What is this anyway?" Tony asked to the kind old man.

The elderly owner then took the book from the counter and opened the book to the page that has a picture of the same necklace Tony was holding.

"Well, you’re holding the Crystal Moon of Shadows. Legend said it's holds an unspeakable amount of dark powers and when the necklace is worn, not only they will gain the powers within the necklace, it shall amplify the wearer's darkness within them," the owner explained aloud from the book to Tony.

"Dark powers? Darkness within? Are you serious?" Tony said with a suspicious tone to the elder.

"Well, the legend states only the soul who can enter the Dark Realm can use the necklace's abilities. But I don't know if it's actually true," the elder said as he flipped a page in the book, revealing a picture of a man wearing the said necklace, covered in a black aura around him.

"More like some mumbo jumbo to me. Well, thanks anyway. I'm only here to look what you selling around here," Tony said as he returned the necklace to the same shelf he found it in the first place and was about to leave the shop.

"I believe coming into my shop to see my oddities isn't the only thing you're here," Tony stopped as he's shocked of what the owner said to him.

"You're here because you felt that you are somehow connected to my shop," the elderly owner said as he picked up the necklace from the shelf.

"Or did you felt that you're connected to this necklace?" the owner asked as he gave the necklace to the skeptic boy.

Tony was about to reason the owner for his visit, but he felt that the owner is right. He did felt that the necklace wants him to go to this very shop.

"Well, I was on my way to the arcade. But, when I saw your shop, I felt someone's trying to talked to me, telling me to find something in this very shop," Tony explained to the owner.

"Well, I think you find what you’re looking for," the kind owner said as he gave the black pendant to Tony.

"Wait! I can't take this! I don't even know how much I need to pay this!" Tony panickly exclaimed to the owner.

"Don't worry. It's on the house. Think of it as a gift for your first visit at my shop," the owner calmly said to Tony. "And also, think of that pendant as your good luck charm. You might need it."

Tony, couldn't reason with the owner anymore, began to smile as he shakes the kind elderly man's hand and thank him with delight.

"By the way, maybe since I'm gonna come visit you again, my name's Tony Clark," Tony happily introduced himself to the owner.

"Well, Tony. Mine is Raynold Lente and I'm honored to welcome you into my shop anytime," the owner named Raynold also introduced himself to the energetic boy.

After saying their goodbyes, Tony then left the shop and decided to skate his way to Siber Smoothies.

He then take a good glance at his new necklace at the sun, wondering how his luck gonna turn up tomorrow now he has a new good luck charm at his side.

After reminiscing the day he got the black necklace, he took one more glance at the pendant, still worried about what Raynold said about the necklace's past.

"Come on, Tony! Snapped out of it! It's just a made-up legend," Tony said himself after snapping out of his worries.

"Still, what Mr. Lente said that I felt a connection to this necklace, could that legend be true?" the younger Clark thought before he snapped out of that thought.

"Well, forget about that nonsense. Looks like Tony Clark gonna change his luck for a better!" Tony said himself as he's about to wear the pendant.

"Gared, that young boy came into my shop last Saturday and he bought the Crystal Moon of Shadows," Raynold said to his caller on the phone. Luckily, it's still seven on his clock cause his shop opens in 2 hours.

"Should I tell him about what's going to happen next since he has the pendant?" the elderly man asked to the caller named Gared.

"I suggest we better not. If we reveal his condition and the necklace's true power, he will gain a greater risk to danger to him and his family," Gared replied on the other line to a worried old man.

"So, what we going to do now?" Raynold asked to the mysterious caller.

"I don't know. But for now, we have no choice but to wait until he's ready," the mysterious man known as Gared replied.

Raynold then put his phone on the table and then picked up a photograph of him, a middle-aged man who is holding hands with a 4 year old boy who has a bluish black hair, dark green eyes, and wears only a yellow shirt, blue shorts, and black sneakers.

"I hope he does, my son," Raynold said as he stares at photograph, knowing what happened at the boy at the photograph and what's going to happen next.

When he wore the pendant to his neck, Tony then grinned at his new charm, hoping that wearing this pendant can change his luck.

Suddenly, Tony's grin disappeared as he stood frozen when the windows suddenly burst open behind him. Then, an ominous wind blew into his bedroom as the poor boy is still frozen shocked.

Then, the pendant glowed in an eerie black aura as Tony is starting to glow the same colored aura.

"You have received a power which you will use to purify the corrupted hearts," a same voice from his dream echoed through the room.

"And you have successfully connected to the realm of darkness,” Tony wants to fight back the pain he suffered the same as his recurring dreams, but he felt a calming sensation instead.

"You have a long journey ahead. But for now, come back to the darkness when you're ready." The black aura and the wind stopped as Marc, who came out of the showers and covered himself with a bath robe, and Lee, who's at the living room all dressed, also heard a noise upstairs, burst through the door.

"Tony, what happened? Did some bad guy trying to capture you again?" Marc asked to his brother.

Tony then turned around confused, as if he has no clue what happened.

"What do you mean? I'm the only one in here ever since Marc is still in the showers," Tony said to his worried brothers.

"Then why's the window opened by itself?" Lee questioned his little brother while pointing at the opened window that he mentioned.

"I don't know, maybe it was a wind. Now come on, I don't want another detention from tardiness again," Tony said as he headed to the bathroom.

"Wait! I haven't got to rinse and repeat yet!" Marc yelled as he left the bedroom to chase his brother to the bathroom.

When Lee is about to leave, he saw a black feather near his bag where Tony stood their earlier, but then shrugged off and left the room, thinking it's from the crow's feather that must landed on his bag.

But when he left, the feather disappeared out of thin air.
